MPs pass several laws in their last session
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session on 17 May 2012 and passed several laws.

In particular, MPs considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to Code of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility and Tax Code of Uzbekistan”.

The document was developed in line with the law “On list of category of persons – citizens of Uzbekistan, subject to permanent residency in Tashkent city and Tashkent region” and other legislative acts, adopted to implement the law.

The draft law abolishes permission order on permanent residence and registration of citizens of Tashkent region was introduced. It set that Interior Ministry will register persons in Tashkent city and region.

The draft law envisages introduction of changes and amendments to the article 223 of the Code on administrative responsibility and article 328, 335 and 330 of Tax Code of Uzbekistan. In particular, the law introduces administrative responsibility of the citizens for violation of rules of residence without registration, persons, who responsible for their registration, etc.

MPs underlined that the law will help to create favourable conditions, order and simplify process of obtaining permanent residence and registration of citizens in Tashkent region. Legislative Chamber approved the concept of the draft law and passed in the first reading.

Legislative Chamber discussed and passed the resolution “On changes of borders of Ferghana city and Ferghana district of Ferghana region”.

The resolution was adopted in line with the programme on preliminary measures on realization of general plan of Ferghana city till 2030, construction and reconstruction of social objects and transport-communication infrastructure for 2012-2015.

The resolution approves new borders of Ferghana city, structure and affiliation of expropriated lands for development of the city, proposed by the Cabinet of Ministers.

It was noted that new borders of Ferghana city were set in line with requirements on improving architectural view in line with national and modern town planning norms, ensuring complex construction of city due to new constructions, reconstruction and modernization of habitation and social objects, roads, engineering-communication infrastructure.

Legislative Chamber passed the resolution and directed to Senate of Oliy Majlis for approval.
