Representatives of Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Population, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Public Education, Ministry of Justice, Tashkent State Law Institute, National University of Uzbekistan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, NGOs, and others participated at the event.

Participants underlined that Uzbekistan was the first country in CIS to accept Labour Code of Uzbekistan, which is improved regularly. Uzbekistan also adopted law “On Labour protection”. In last four years, the parliament adopts programme on creation of new jobs and employment of population, about 1 million jobs are created within the documents each year.

Only in 2012, small enterprises and microfiems crated over 204,0000 new jobs for women and over 107,000 jobs for young people were created within the programme. Over 19,000 unemployed youth were trained and 52,000 people were attracted to paid public works.

During the meeting, the participants underlined necessity to improve labour legislation in order to ensure protection of rights and interests of employees and employers.

The participants also shared their proposals and recommendations on the State Programme “The Year of Prosperity and Well-being”.
