It was underlined that economy of Uzbekistan grew by 8.1% in the first half of 2014, industrial output – 8.1%, agriculture production – 6.9%, construction works – 17.4%.

The participants underlined that about 60.8% of expenses of the state budget were directed to social sector, which made up 14.6% to GDP. Over 5.102 trillion soums were directed to finance education sector.

The resources were directed to construction, reconstruction and capital repair of schools, lyceums and colleges, sport halls and other infrastructure objects, equipment of labs, sport halls, etc.

By the end of 2014, it is planned to commission 48 universities both in Tashkent and regions of Uzbekistan.

The state budget allocated 2.03 trillion soums to development of healthcare in the first half of 2014, which rose by 16% year-on-year.
