MPs, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of Health, justice bodies, finance departments, local administrations, NGOs and others participated at the session.

It was noted that Uzbekistan conducts wide-scale reforms in protecting healthcare of citizens and strengthening material-technical base of healthcare system, etc. Uzbekistan adopted 14 laws, 30 decrees and resolutions of the President, 100 resolutions of the Government.

Ferghana region also carries out effective and rational use of budget resources allocated to healthcare sector. The region implements measures on optimization of medical institutions, their equipment, provision of materials and medicaments.

It was said that the region’s healthcare system received 291.51 billion soums in 2012 and 82.418 billion soums in the first quarter of 2013. The region received 13.65 billion soums to reconstruct and construct medical institutions.

The participants of the session also pointed to shortcoming in the sector. In particular, some medical institutions have accounts receivables due to untimely supply of goods and services.

The committee adopted a corresponding decisions.
