MPs consider execution of state budget for Jan-Sep
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan considered a report on execution of the state budget of Uzbekistan for nine months of 2014 at its session on 19 November 2014.

It was noted that the State Budget of Uzbekistan n nine months of 2014 were executed in line with the parameters, earlier approved by Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.

It was said that Uzbekistan’s GDP grew by 8.1% in nine months of 2014, industrial production – 8.4%, agriculture output – 6.8%, retail trade turnover – 14.2%. The state budget of the country was executed with surplus.

Machinery and metal processing, production of construction materials, light industry, medicine, food industry, ferrous metallurgy and other developed actively in the reporting period. The measures to strengthen banking system helped to ensure real growth of aggregate capitals of the banks, deposits, assets and credit investments.

Over 777,800 new jobs were created in Uzbekistan in nine months of 2014, including 465,000 new jobs in rural areas.

About 4.2 trillion soums and US$200 million were directed to implementation of the state programme “The Year of Healthy Children”.

In the reporting period, the state budget directed 13.313 trillion soums to social sector. The average size of pensions, stipends and social allowances grew by 12% compared to January 2014.

In nine months of 2014, the state budget allocated 8 billion soums to finance professional colleges in the country.

In January-September 2014, the expenses to science reached 113.9 billion soums, which rose by 11.7% year-on-year. About 69.2 billion soums were directed to finance priority directions of the state scientific-technical programme on sectors.

Almost 320 billion soums were directed to protection of environment. The funds of the state budget were directed to improve air and water conditions, cleaning sewage, protection of plants and animals, ecologic situation in Aral Sea, etc.

After discussion, the MPs approved a report on execution of the State budget of Uzbekistan in nine months of 2014 and adopted a corresponding resolution.
