Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At a recent plenary session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the draft law "On the Approval of the Entrepreneurial Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was reviewed.

The document aims to reinforce the fundamental principles of entrepreneurial activity, such as legality, freedom of entrepreneurship, equality of entities, fair competition, presumption of good faith, and freedom from corruption. The draft law includes a classification of entrepreneurial entities into small, medium, and large categories.

On 16 July, the draft code was conceptually approved in its first reading at the Legislative Chamber session. Since then, the responsible committee has undertaken substantial work to prepare the document for its second reading. Proposals from deputies were carefully analyzed in working group meetings, and most of them were incorporated into the text of the code.

In particular, at the initiative of the deputies, provisions were added to the draft to ensure guarantees for the use of land plots by farms and dehkan farms, their property rights, as well as the rights of social enterprises.

During the discussion, deputies noted that the draft law had been revised, and many suggestions were reflected in the text. They also raised several questions and requested clarification on certain provisions.

As a result, the deputies approved the draft law in its third reading.
