Motorica provides cyber prostheses to three children in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Motorica, a leading developer and manufacturer of cyber prostheses, has delivered bionic prostheses to three children in Tashkent.

The funding for the children’s prostheses was provided by charitable organizations, including the Vse Vse Vmeste and Geography of Kindness foundations, the Tuba platform, and a private benefactor from Russia.

The event took place at ORTOSTAN RU, a partner prosthetics center, where Motorica specialists conducted training on high-tech prosthetics and showcased the latest solutions for upper and lower limb prostheses.

Representatives of the company were present at the event, explaining the process of obtaining prostheses in Uzbekistan, including for preschool and school-age children.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of rehabilitation using modern prostheses, as confirmed by positive feedback from children who have already tested the new cyber prostheses.

"We are pleased that, thanks to our cooperation with ORTOSTAN RU, residents of Uzbekistan can access cutting-edge rehabilitation tools. We see how prosthetics improve people’s lives and appreciate the support of the National Agency for Social Protection in this initiative," said Valeria Chemikos, Head of CIS Sales at Motorica.

Motorica is the only manufacturer in the world that provides functional prosthetics for children as young as two years old. Since starting operations in Uzbekistan, the company has delivered 17 prostheses, 13 of which were for children. Motorica has been active in the Uzbek market for over eight years, training and certifying prosthetists.

In 2025, the company plans to expand cooperation and participate in the development of a system to provide people with disabilities with modern rehabilitation technologies. A key document in this effort will be the decree by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on improving the provision of prosthetic-orthopedic devices and technical rehabilitation aids.

It is expected that by 2030, the needs of people requiring such devices will be fully met.
