It is worth to noted that the half the population in Uzbekistan are young people. Currently, over 27 million people live in Uzbekistan.

The report of the state agency said an absolute majority of young Uzbek people consider themselves patriots. They regard as important such personal traits as devotion to the homeland, selfless service and readiness to protect it, aspiration to participate in raising the nation’s international standing.

Young people of Uzbekistan believe that the main priorities in youth upbringing and education are: improving the moral constituent so that they grow up to respect national and universal values; understanding the heritage of great ancestors and the history of the homeland; and thoroughly studying the president’s works.

Majority of the respondents consider the family (52.2%) and serving the homeland and benefiting society (81.2%) as the main values.

The responders strongly opposed religious extremism and fully understand its dangers. An overwhelming majority (95.1%) of the young people do not accept any kind of religious movement.

The poll said the majority is opposed to terrorism too, and most know legislation and civil rights quite well.

An absolute majority of young people in Uzbekistan have a high level of social optimism and specific plans for future, the report said. Most of the respondents plan to obtain education, increase their level of knowledge, and start a family. They also wish to become good specialists in order to serve their country properly.

In general, the results of the research showed that the country’s youth feel socially comfortable in the conditions of social, political and economic stability in Uzbek society. Almost 80% of the Uzbek youth are fully satisfied with their life. This is clear evidence that our country has created all conditions for the younger generation to see proper and harmonious development, get education and profession, find a worthy place in society and achieve well-being.
