Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 14 November, a three-day masterclass on stage speech for the actors of the State Academic Russian Drama Theatre (GARDT) of Uzbekistan began as part of the "Specialists for Theatres" project by the Union of Theatre Workers (STD) of Russia.
The STD project provides opportunities to conduct educational sessions in Russian theatres abroad, focusing on specialized subjects from leading experts in Russia.
The masterclass is conducted by Elena Laskavaya, an associate professor at the Department of Speech at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute.
Elena Valentina is an honored worker of culture of Moscow, a stage speech educator at the E. Vakhtangov Theatre, and the founder of her own School of Speech and Oratory. She is the author of four textbooks on oratory.
The actors of the Tashkent theatre are actively participating in speech and voice training sessions in both group and individual formats to enhance their stage speech skills.
The extensive experience of the Moscow educator, combined with the enthusiasm of the actors of the State Academic Russian Drama Theatre, immediately set a productive tone for the training, which is taking place in a truly creative and friendly atmosphere.
It is worth noting that while the GARDT building is undergoing repairs, the theatre troupe continues to delight audiences across various regions of Uzbekistan with their performances. Recent shows took place in Termez, Karshi, Samarkand, Urgut, and Taylak.
