Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A major accident occurred in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent, as a result of which four trucks and eight cars collided.

According to the traffic police of the capital, the incident occurred at the intersection of Sharaf Rashidov Street and a small ring road.

According to preliminary data, the brakes of the Kamaz truck failed. The truck tried to stop at a traffic light, but failed and hit several cars at once.

Trucks Kamaz, Isuzu, Howo and Zil, as well as passenger cars - Lacetti, Tracker 2, Nexia 3, Epica, two Cobalt and two Spark got into an accident.

As a result of the accident, the passenger of the Cobalt car was injured, who was taken to the hospital for medical care.

According to officials, investigative actions are currently being carried out to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
