More than half a million new users: residents of Uzbekistan choose the Hambi superapp

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In just three months since the launch of its updated version, the Hambi ecosystem has attracted 700,000 new users, with the number of active monthly users exceeding 4 000 000.

Hambi, launched in Uzbekistan by global digital operator VEON, combines the most popular everyday services in one app. Users of any mobile operator can access financial services, including commission-free P2P transfers, TV programs and games, auto insurance, online shopping, and ticket booking. Beeline Uzbekistan users also benefit from convenient SIM card management features, such as balance checks, service activation, and choosing optimal tariffs and internet packages.

Since the launch of the new platform, users have already had over 500 online consultations via the Hambi Davo service, which connects with doctors from various specialties in Uzbekistan and other countries. These consultations are helpful for people who can’t visit local clinics promptly. For example, a doctor from Tashkent helped Aisha, a young mother from Samarkand, when her three-year-old son was suffering from severe abdominal pain. Thanks to Hambi Davo, Aisha could connect with a pediatric specialist within 15 minutes, explain the symptoms, and get recommendations. The treatment plan was adjusted the following day based on the child’s condition.

“I didn’t expect to receive quality help online. Dr. Said saved my son from prolonged suffering, and I am endlessly grateful for that!” said Aisha.

In another instance, a Tashkent pediatrician diagnosed a hypertensive crisis in Maryam, a 52-year-old patient from Nukus, and helped take urgent measures to stabilize her condition. Hambi Davo allows specialists to provide consultations to residents across the country, including those in remote areas.

“Helping our clients make use of helpful and convenient services 1,440 minutes a day through modern platform is the mission we’ve built into Hambi. Users of all mobile operators can address everyday tasks, entertain themselves, get medical advice, manage finances, and even plan vacations. We continue to develop Hambi, focusing on the real needs of current and future users of our ecosystem,” commented Maxim Efremov, Chief Commercial Officer of Beeline Uzbekistan.

Other Hambi services are also in high demand. For example, over 50,000 vehicles have been added to Hambi Auto for managing insurance policies and tracking key information.
