Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 April 2023, 309,323 real estate lease agreements were registered with the tax authorities.

On the basis of 230,500 lease agreements concluded between individuals, 33.2 billion soums of income tax were accrued. Compared to the same period of last year, the number of registered lease agreements increased by 26.8%, and the amount of accrued tax - by 36.1%.

Based on 78,700 lease agreements concluded between legal entities, 66.9 billion soums of taxes were accrued. Compared to the same period of  last year, the number of registered lease agreements increased by 24.3%, and the amount of taxes assessed - by 30.9%.

There are 51,185 rental agreements with students, where a total of 83,154 students live.

Owners of property that rent out housing to students are exempt from paying tax on these incomes. The amount of benefits applied by them exceeded 11.8 billion soums.
