Monopolization level index falls in 9m
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Demonopolization Committee of Uzbekistan calculated the monopolization level in the country for the first nine months of 2012 in line with the system on annual indicators of assessment of liberalization and modernization of economy.

The monopolization level is calculated based on number of existing enterprises and monopoly enterprises included to the State registrar of enterprises, which hold dominating position in the market, and the State registrar of natural monopoly enterprises.

Monopolization level is calculated as ratio of total number of monopoly enterprises to total number of registered enterprises. The figure made up 0.28% in nine months of 2012 compared to 0.33 in the same period of 2011 and 0.39 in January-September 2010.

The committee said that the figure shows that the level of monopolization in Uzbekistan is decreasing.
