Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The mobile operator Mobiuz has installed and modernized over 1200 base stations in 10 months and is preparing to implement investment projects.
The development strategy of the mobile operator Mobiuz is focused on stable growth and the introduction of new technologies and opportunities for subscribers. Within the framework of the Development Concept for 2019-2021, the company is successfully investing in expanding coverage and increasing the capacity of networks in the republic.
From January to October, the operator put on the air more than 1,200 new and modernized base stations. At the same time, the 4G LTE network is expanding the geography of coverage every day: if in 2019 it was available in large cities, regional and district centers and in a number of villages, now priority attention is paid to remote areas.
This year, subscribers of the village gathering of citizens of Jalobek of Altynkul district (Andijan region), the village of Novmetan of Bukhara district (Bukhara region), the village of Mirzadala of Mirzachul district (Jizzakh region), the village of Turgok of Uchkuprik district (Ferghana region), the village of Yangirabad of Khatyrchi district (Navoi region) and many other settlements have already begun to use the communication of the fourth generation.
Much attention was paid to improving the quality of communication in Sokh district of Ferghana region in the framework of the execution of the decree of the head of state "On measures for the comprehensive socio-economic development of Sokh district of Fergana region in 2020-2021" from 8 August 2020. Two new base stations of 3G and preparatory work is underway to install LTE equipment. In addition, two new sites are planned for next year in the area to provide even more reliable coverage.
In order to further improve the quality of data transmission services, the company is systematically increasing the capacity of the external Internet channel - compared to January this year, it has grown by 36.4%. At the same time, the company's specialists are working on the construction of their own International Packet Switching Center to provide direct Mobiuz access to the international Internet channel.
The measures taken for the technical development of the company and the active introduction of LTE in the regions of the republic would be unthinkable without the development of the transport network. In this regard, throughout the year, work is underway to build new radio relay (RRL) intervals for new base stations. In the near future, it is planned to modernize RRL intervals in 9 regions with the installation of equipment from Ceragon (Israel).
“The coronavirus pandemic and quarantine have undoubtedly affected business processes. At the same time, Mobiuz technical specialists carry out their activities in compliance with all sanitary and epidemic requirements, but without interruption. Thanks to this, we were able to fulfill our plans. Currently, Mobiuz is preparing to implement a large investment project for the development of concessional credit funds for US$150 million allocated by China for the technical development of the mobile operator. This month, the delivery of the first large consignment of equipment from Huawei (PRC) is expected,” said Sardor Tadjiev, Mobiuz public relations official.
