Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Over the first nine months of 2024, mobile operators in Uzbekistan returned 115 million soums to consumers at the request of the Competition and Consumer Protection Committee, as reported by the agency’s press service.

According to committee data, citizens filed over 2,000 complaints regarding the actions of mobile operators.

During inspections, specialists identified numerous violations, including the illegal modification of tariff plans, the activation of paid services without consent, and the sending of promotional messages without the agreement of subscribers.

As a result, mobile operators received a stern warning from the committee for violating consumer rights.

The Competition Committee reminded operators of consumer rights and warned them against further violations of legislation.
