MITC and mobile operators discuss issues of improving quality of communication services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan (MTIC) Azim Akhmedkhadjayev held a round table discussion with participation of mobile operators and Internet providers, dedicated to discussion of further improving the quality of communication, information and telecommunication services, the press service of the MITC said.

It should be noted that the number of complaints about the quality of communication services is constantly growing. Only for the first quarter of this year the number of appeals exceeded 1.5 thousand. Analysis of the statistics shows that the majority of appeals concern: Internet services – 349 appeals (22%), fixed communications – 272 appeals (17%), mobile communications – 275 appeals (17%), mail services – 153 appeals (10%), TV and radio broadcasting – 77 appeals (5%).

On 7 March 2018, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On measures of further improving the quality of communication services, informatization and telecommunications”. In accordance with this resolution instruction was given on developing and approving the Regulations on calculation and application of financial sanctions (fines) for violations of the requirements of normative-legal acts, standards, quality of services provided in communications, informatization and telecommunication technologies.

At the round table discussion, the operators were given the opportunity to introduce on the agenda the problematic issues of telecom market, to tell about bureaucratic barriers in activities of mobile operators and Internet providers.
