Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 July, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The Russian leader warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, extending heartfelt wishes for good health, well-being, and continued success in his state activities.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed pressing issues concerning the further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia, including the practical implementation of high-level agreements.

Particular attention was paid to maintaining the positive momentum in mutual trade turnover, advancing joint projects involving leading enterprises and companies in industry, energy, agriculture, and other priority areas, as well as expanding mutually beneficial interregional cooperation.

The sides also noted with satisfaction the ongoing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The heads of state reviewed the schedule of upcoming joint events.
