Mirziyoyev and Kobakhidze Discuss New Projects and Trade Growth
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of his working visit to Turkmenistan, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
The two sides discussed prospects for further expanding cooperation in trade and economic relations, transport and logistics, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It was noted that the agreements reached during the Georgian Prime Minister’s visit to Uzbekistan in March of this year are being successfully implemented in practice.
Special attention was given to the intensification of interagency contacts. Meetings have been held between the heads of foreign ministries and ministers of economy, while trade turnover, freight transportation, and the number of joint projects and enterprises are all on the rise.
The importance of coordinated efforts to expand mutual supplies and promote cooperative projects in agriculture, textiles, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, the food industry, and logistics was also emphasized.
