Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 July, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation.

The leader of Azerbaijan sincerely congratulated the head of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health and new successes in his state activities.

During the conversation, issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations of friendship and strategic partnership were discussed. The fruitful results of the second Interregional Forum, the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, and a series of joint cultural events were noted. The importance of carefully preparing the economic agenda for the upcoming high-level summit was emphasized.

The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan also discussed important aspects of regional interaction.
