He replaced at this post Vadim Abramov, who left the post of the head coach of Lokomotiv in the middle of October 2015.

Prior to appointment, Mirko Yelicic worked in the coaches’ team of Lokomotiv. Andrei Miklyayev and Petr Gizimchuk will assist Yelicic in the team.

According to the Lokomotiv press-service, the team will start preparations to new season on 16 December. The team plans to hold training camp in the UAE.
