As reported earlier, Uzbekistan national team coach Vadim Abramov resigned from his post and Bunyodkor Tashkent manager Mirjalol Kasimov replaced him in this post.
Speaking to reporters in Tashkent, Kasimov said that the appointment was unexpected for him. He added that the goal of the team is to reach 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Mirjalol Kasimov stated that he will not make changes in coaching team. He said that Uzbekistan made good performance against Iran and the team was just unlucky. He said the team started to prepare to the match against Lebanon.
He added that he will continue his work as manager of Bunyodkor Tashkent along with the work in Uzbekistan national team.
