The CIS leaders will consider 17 draft documents directed at further developing inter-state cooperation in humanitarian spheres, security and other areas.

One of the important documents is a draft address of the CIS leaders to people and international community in connection with the 70th anniversary of the victory in the World War II. The address condemns attempts of glorification of the Nazi movement, resuscitation of fascist ideology, spread of xenophobia and racism.

The CIS leaders will adopt a decision on implementation of inter-state programme “Cultural capitals of the Commonwealth” in Russia and Tajikistan in 2015, announcing Voronej and Kulyab as the cultural capitals of the CIS in 2015.

They will also consider documents, regulating cooperation in preserving and strengthening of international system of control over drugs, illegal migration and human trafficking, implementing agreed border policies in the CIS area.

The CIS leaders will analyze implementation of the action plan on implementation of the concept on further development of the CIS and discuss role of Inter-parliamentary assembly of the CIS states in developing inter-regional cooperation in the CIS states. They will also discuss several organizational issues.

On 9 October, National Library of Belarus will host a session of the Council of foreign ministers of the CIS, which will consider several documents, submitted to consideration of the CIS leaders.

In particular, the draft plan on priority measures in sphere of humanitarian cooperation of the CIS for 2015-2016 and plan of measures for 2015-2017 on implementation of the strategy of development of cooperation in tourism sphere in CIS till 2020 will be considered at the session. They will consider others issues as well.
