Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan will begin to publish information on the budget. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Finance.

“The Ministry of Finance is actively working to ensure transparency of the state budget and present it in an accessible form for all citizens,” the statement said.

“The main goal is to involve representatives of the general public in the public administration process, along with increasing the financial literacy of the population and enhancing public control over government spending. A bright practical embodiment is the electronic portal openbudget.uz,” the agency noted.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the platform contains detailed information on the execution of the state budget, its parameters, components and forecast indicators. Also, the portal provides an opportunity for citizens to determine directions for the expenditure side of local budgets.

The information service, together with the responsible departments, on the official pages of the Ministry will post data on such important areas as:

Daily (on business days):

- about the revenue and expenditure of the state budget

- about contracts concluded in the public procurement system

Monthly:

- report on funds allocated to ministries and departments.

- also, information will be provided on the funds allocated in the framework of state programs in various directions.
