Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As a result of the modernization work carried out over the last 7 months of 2022, the capacity of 6 main substations has been increased by an additional 591 MVA (megavolt-amperes), the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan said in a statement.
Among them are high-voltage substations of Surkhandarya, Samarkand, Jizzakh regions and the city of Tashkent.
By the end of the year, the capacity will be increased by 1025 MVA at 5 more substations.
As a result, in 7 regions of the country and in the capital - in total at 11 substations their total capacity will be increased by 1616 MVA.
