Ministry of Energy: A tender to be announced for the implementation of the SCADA and EMS project in the energy system

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to introduce modern digital technologies aimed at improving the processes of control, management and operation of the high-voltage power transmission network, National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan JSC announced a tender for the implementation of a technical and software complex for dispatch control and data collection (SCADA) and energy management systems (EMS).

Within the framework of the project "SCADA/EMS/RTU and telecommunications and fiber optic cables", JSC "National Electric Networks" attracts funds from the World Bank in the amount of US$115 million to cover the costs associated with the installation of information systems, the purchase of optical cables, as well as goods, works, consulting and non-consulting services.

Within the framework of the project, digital devices will be installed at 113 substations and 2,900 km of a fiber-optic communication network will be laid.

As a result, modern digital and telecommunication technologies will be introduced to improve the processes of control, management and operation of the power transmission system. Among them is the creation of a new technical and software complex for dispatch control and data collection, as well as a power supply management system. At the same time, it is possible to prevent and promptly eliminate possible accidents, remotely transmit data online.

Procurement is carried out in accordance with the procedures specified in the Procurement Manual for Contracts Financed by the World Bank. The competition is open to all eligible companies and individuals as outlined in the Procurement Guidelines for World Bank Borrowers. It is planned that after negotiations on the project, the World Bank will publish the agreed preliminary procurement plan and all updates on its official website.

Tender proposals are scheduled to be accepted until 30 November 2022.
