Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Deputy Minister Kakhramon Yuldashev and the management of John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co.HG.

Measures are being taken to reduce manual labor and increase the level of mechanization and productivity in agriculture, especially in cotton growing.

At the meeting, where the topic of increasing the level of equipment and mechanization of the agro-industrial complex, in particular cotton growing, was discussed, attention was drawn to the fact that 20% of raw cotton is harvested using cotton pickers.

In our country, raw cotton is grown on more than 1 million hectares of land. Of the more than 1,500 cotton pickers in our country, 140 are John Deere brand cotton pickers.

During the meeting, multifaceted cooperation was agreed upon, planned for implementation in the future.
