Ministers of Tourism of Uzbekistan and Israel opened Tashkent Travel Mart 2022

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 17 May 2022, Tashkent hosted a grand opening of the International Tourism Exhibition in the B2B format "Tashkent Travel Mart 2022", which is held under the auspices of Zero Carbon Fair.

This event is held as part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev "On additional measures to diversify domestic tourism services" from 30 April  2022

At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov and Minister of Tourism of Israel Yoel Razvozov delivered a solemn speech.

The event was organized by the Association of Private Tourist Organizations of Uzbekistan with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, the European Union Switch Asia Project, the USAID Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Development Project, the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Federal Republic of Germany, ACTED and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

The international tourism exhibition in the B2B format "Tashkent Travel Mart 2022" is a specialized tourism platform for expanding intra-industry dialogue and developing optimal solutions and ways for market development in new conditions. The B2B format, that is, "business for the sake of business", allows specialized organizations to expand their business opportunities at the exhibition, solve many problems in running their business, and sell tourism services. Tashkent Travel Mart 2022 is an opportunity to establish inter-industry relations that will help create new high-quality tourism products and raise the level of service in the industry.

This year the exhibition was attended by the most active representatives of tourist organizations of Uzbekistan and around the world. There are more than 90 companies, domestic and foreign, from more than 10 countries. Among them are representatives of the tourism industry from Germany, Austria, Spain, Israel, Czech Republic, Estonia, UAE, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Foreign and local tour operators, travel agencies, hotels, banks, online services, insurance companies took part in the International Tourism Exhibition "Tashkent Travel Mart 2022", and for the first time representatives of the production of green technologies and family guest houses of Uzbekistan took part in the "Tashkent Travel Mart" .

"Tashkent Travel Mart 2022" was visited by representatives of foreign media (Germany, Romania).

In the era of digital transformation and information technology, which have deeply penetrated the tourism industry, an important factor in competitiveness is the issue of taking into account all aspects of environmental sustainability. Therefore, the use and active use of available efficient "green" technologies in the country’s tourism sector and the popularization of CBT tourism, which is growing in popularity in the world, is an important factor in increasing the potential of the tourism industry at the international level. To this end, Tashkent Travel Mart 2022 is being held under the auspices of the Zero Carbon Fair.

During the event, tourism industry professionals were able not only to discuss exciting problems, but also to find answers to pressing questions. Productive meetings were also held with potential clients and new partners with the further conclusion of cooperation agreements and the signing of memorandums. 

The organizer of "Tashkent Travel Mart" is the Association of Private Tourist Organizations of Uzbekistan (APTO), established in 1998, which is the largest and oldest non-governmental, non-profit organization in Uzbekistan operating in the field of tourism. APTO, on the basis of advanced foreign experience, seeks to introduce innovations in the tourism sector. The Association unites more than 200 members from among tour operators, representatives of the hotel business and guest houses, hostels, software in the field of tourism business.

The first exhibition "Tashkent Travel Mart" was successfully held by the Association in 2019. The exhibition "Tashkent Travel Mart-2019" was attended by more than 300 representatives of the tourism industry of our country. And what is especially noteworthy, foreign companies - participants of the exhibition in one day held negotiations with representatives of about 60 travel companies of Uzbekistan.
