Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A military delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Lieutenant General Bahodir Kurbanov, Minister of Defense, visited the Republic of Belarus, as reported by the press service of the Executive Committee of the CIS.

According to the visit program, the head of the Uzbekistani military delegation held talks with Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin, Minister of Defense of Belarus.

The sides discussed the current state of military cooperation and identified ways to enhance bilateral relations in mutually beneficial directions.

Following the meeting, the Ministers of Defense of Uzbekistan and Belarus laid wreaths at the foot of the Victory Monument in Minsk.

It is noteworthy that military personnel from the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan will participate in a military parade organized on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

The ceremony will also be attended by military personnel from the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the People's Republic of China.
