Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan will introduce the position of ministerial advisor. This is stipulated by the resolution of the President “On additional measures to improve the disability determination system”.
According to the resolution, the central apparatus of the Ministry of Health will establish the position of ministerial advisor for coordinating the provision of medical services to individuals with disabilities.
Additionally, a sector consisting of three staff units will be created. The main tasks of the sector will include coordinating measures for disability prevention, referring individuals for medical-social expertise to determine disability, organizing training for experts of medical-social expertise commissions (MSEC) and family doctors.
The sector will coordinate the process of digitizing the submission of medical documents by family doctors for examination by MSEC and integrating it with relevant information systems.
Among the sector’s responsibilities will be coordinating the provision of medical services to individuals with disabilities, including medical rehabilitation services.
