Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 March, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov met with representatives of the construction company CITIC (China) to discuss projects for the construction and reconstruction of highways.

Representatives of the company expressed interest in participating in the reconstruction of the Pungan-Namangan, Tashkent-Chinoz highways, as well as in the construction of new toll roads. They highlighted their international experience in improving transport infrastructure and using modern solutions in the field of road construction.

The Transport Minister noted the importance of speedy completion of these projects using advanced technologies that meet international standards and special attention to reducing construction costs.

Representatives of the foreign company said that they are currently studying the projects and will submit project proposals that meet all requirements in the coming days.
