Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During his visit to the United States, Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov met with Apple managers responsible for public relations.

The meeting discussed issues of cooperation between the company and the Ministry of ICT.

Attention was also paid to expanding Apple’s activities in Uzbekistan, including the introduction of the iPhone in the 5G network and increasing opportunities for local developers in the Appstore.

Representatives of the company were invited to cooperate on the implementation of the ApplePay system in the country and the promotion of the Swift programming language.
