Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev appoints the new Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan.

Timur Ishmetov was appointed as the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 24 February 2020.

Prior to his appointment, he worked as First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and from 2017 to 2019, he held the position of First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, Omonullo Zabikhullaevich Nasritdinhojaev was appointed First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 24 February 2020.

Jamshid Kuchkarov, who served as Minister of Finance, became the Minister of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. However, he retained the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.
