Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov held a meeting with Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Gerd Müller.

The meeting emphasized active cooperation with UNIDO in various fields.

The current state of affairs in the development of the textile industry and small economic zones, as well as attracting financing for investment projects in these industries, were discussed.

In addition, priorities were identified for organizing large-scale work in the energy sector for the future.

UNIDO Director General Gerd Müller wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that the parties discussed expanding the UNIDO project portfolio in Uzbekistan.

Issues of joint work on modernizing the textile industry, increasing energy efficiency, using renewable energy sources, developing green hydrogen and adapting to climate change, especially in the Aral Sea region, were discussed.
