Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the President “On amendments and additions to the Regulations on the procedure for military service by citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the implementation of comprehensive measures aimed at improving combat training and the potential of the Armed Forces” was adopted.

The cases of preferential calculation of military service are specified. Thus, the following periods are credited to military personnel at a preferential rate at the rate of one day for three days of military service:

participation in hostilities, when performing combat missions, when conducting an anti-terrorist special operation or ensuring (maintaining) a state of emergency;

continuous stay in medical institutions due to injuries (wounds, injuries) and diseases received during direct participation in the above cases;

illegally sentenced to imprisonment and subsequently rehabilitated - during the period of detention, as well as being in custody or placing in medical institutions as a preventive measure.

From now on, servicemen will be required to be certified when they are presented for state awards.

The procedure for free travel of military personnel is also specified. So, military personnel have the right to travel on military transportation documents on the following modes of transport:

by air in the cabin:

business class - heads of ministries and their deputies;

economy class - military personnel of other categories;

railway transport:

in VIP-class ("lux") cars of high-speed and high-speed trains and in "SV" ("lux") cars of fast and passenger trains - heads of ministries and their deputies;

in business-class carriages of high-speed and high-speed trains and in "SV" ("luxury") carriages of fast and passenger trains - generals and colonels;

in economy class cars of high-speed trains, in business class cars of high-speed trains and in compartment cars of fast and passenger trains - officers in the military rank of "lieutenant colonel" and junior military rank military personnel under the contract of officers, sergeants and privates;

by road (with the exception of fixed-route and linear taxis) - regularly running intercity and interregional buses - all categories of military personnel;

in economy class cars of high-speed and high-speed trains, in general and reserved seat cars of fast and passenger trains - the rest of the military.

Private conscripts, as well as private and contract sergeants, additionally have the right to free travel on all types of public transport in urban, suburban and local communications (with the exception of fixed-route and linear taxis).

When recruiting for military service under a contract for the positions of managerial, scientific and teaching staff of higher military educational institutions, citizens who have an academic degree (academic title), as well as experience in scientific and pedagogical work for at least 5 years, they are awarded the following military ranks:

candidates of sciences, doctors of philosophy (PhD) - captain;

Doctors of Science (DSc), Candidates of Science, Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), who have the degree of Associate Professor - Major;

Doctors of Sciences (DSc) who have the academic title of professor - lieutenant colonel.
