The UzACI said that the guests informed on potential of Uzbekistan in Central Asia and further plans of Microsoft on expansion of its activities in Uzbekistan in information and communication technologies sector.
The Uzbek side confirmed interest and expressed readiness in development of cooperation for further introduction of ICT in state administration, various sectors of economy and social sphere, including education. It was noted that it is important to organize joint development and production of software in Uzbekistan.
After the talks, the sides signed an agreement of cooperation in the field of information-communication technologies.
Within the implementation of agreement, the sides agreed to cooperate in such areas as support and promotion of software in Uzbek language, implementation of joint initiatives in education, including creation of Microsoft Information-Resource Center at Tashkent University of Information Technologies, conducting joint events on ICT development in Uzbekistan.
