Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 October 2024, Ismatulla Irgashev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, held a meeting with a delegation led by Alexandre Escorcia, Head of the "Europe, North America, and Multilateral Actions" Department of the French Ministry of Armed Forces’ International Relations and Strategy Directorate.

The meeting involved an exchange of views regarding the current situation in Afghanistan and the search for solutions to the Afghan crisis.

The parties agreed on the necessity of coordinating efforts in areas such as strengthening borders, combating terrorism and drug trafficking, as well as arms smuggling, among others.

Escorcia emphasized Uzbekistan’s important role in ensuring regional stability and security and expressed hope for the continuation of fruitful cooperation in the future.
