Mexico see off South Korea despite late Son stunner

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mexico bagged a 2-1 victory over South Korea in Group F match of the FIFA World Cup 2018 and almost guaranteed place in knockout stage.

Carlos Vela opened the score from penalty on 26 minutes of the game, while Javier Hernandez doubled the lead of Mexican side.

Heung-Min Son stunning strike could not help South Korea to clinch at least a point from the game.

The result means that Mexico could qualify if Germany fail to beat Sweden, while South Korea will need a mathematical miracle to make it to the knockout stages.
