Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Uzcharmsanoat association with the Russian company Mex Oreteks. The focus of discussions was the establishment of cooperation in the fur industry and the export of finished products from fur and wool from our country to Russia.

During the dialogue, the Russian company was informed about the production potential of the fur industry in Uzbekistan, the raw material base, and the activities of wool processing enterprises. On site, guests from Russia were able to get acquainted with samples of semi-finished and finished woolen products from such enterprises as Ulkan Laziz, Jizzax Jun and Ulug’nor-Nur, who also took part in the meeting.

The Russian company Mex Oreteks was founded in 1991 on the basis of the Orekhovskaya cotton factory, and is considered one of the largest companies producing textile products in Russia. Today, as a result of wool processing, the enterprise produces artificial fur, knitwear, and yarn. There is also a fabric dyeing service. The company produces finished products, taking into account the latest trends and requirements of the international fur industry.

Representatives of the company analyzed the samples provided by our local enterprises and expressed their interest in purchasing them. In particular, agreements were reached with Jizzax Jun LLC on the supply of 20 tons of wool fiber per month to Mex Oreteks.

The Russian company visited the Jizzakh wool factory and got acquainted in detail with the activities of the enterprise, and the prospects for cooperation were also discussed there. Based on the results of the business tour, it is planned to conclude an agreement.
