Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mercure Tashkent hotel opened in Tashkent on 1 March 2023. This is the first hotel of Accor.
First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan Ulugbek Azamov opened the event with an introductory speech and spoke about development of tourism industry in our country and the role of foreign brand hotel chains in Uzbekistan.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Aurélia Bouchez, General Manager of Accor New East Europe Alexis Delaroff, General Manager of Mercure Tashkent hotel Farhad Tashtemirov and media representatives.
General director of Accor New East Europe Alexis Delaroff said that Mercure Tashkent is one of the first Accor brand hotels in Uzbekistan.
"We are sure that opening of new hotels in Uzbekistan under famous international brands will increase tourism attraction of the country and strengthen its competitiveness in domestic and international tourist markets," he said.
Mercure has more than 810 hotels in 60 countries of the world. The brand is part of world’s leading Accor hotel group, which has 10,000 restaurants and bars in 110 countries, and over 5,300 hotels.
Visitors to the event were given a detailed tour of the hotel rooms, restaurants, wellness centre and other facilities.
Mercure Tashkent has 126 rooms. The hotel also has Turkish and European restaurants, gym, swimming pool, phyto-bar and other services. In addition, the hotel has conference halls accommodating from 20 to 100 people for various meetings and events.
