During his visit to Uzbekistan, Sergey Bubka held negotiations with the chairman of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Mirabrar Usmanov and Deputy Prime Minister and Chairperson of Uzbekistan Athletics Federation Gulamjon Ibragimov.

At the meetings, the sides considered development of sport and Olympic movement in Uzbekistan, including development of the athletics in the country.

Sergey Bubka also familiarized with construction of new building of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and modern athletics base at Pakhtakor stadium in Tashkent. He laid symbolic breaks to these objects.

Bubka highly rated measures, adopted in Uzbekistan, to develop Olympic movement. He said that he believes that Uzbek athletes will continue to achieve bright victories in international arena.
