Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In recent years, the melon festival, which is traditionally held in Khorezm region, has been giving unforgettable impressions to local and foreign tourists visiting the region.

This year, the Melon Festival will be held on 12-13 August on the territory of the State Museum-Reserve "Ichan-qal’a" in the city of Khiva, Khorezm region.

The purpose of this festival, which is organized jointly with the Committee of Tourism and the Khorezm Regional Administration, is to demonstrate the agro-tourism potential of the region, to popularize unique types and varieties of products and horticultural products.

There will be hundreds of different varieties of melons at the festival, such as "Gurvak", "Qilichboy beshak", "Qari qiz", "Tuya qovun", "To’yona", "Ola zamcha", "Xorazm oq novvoti", "Ko’k gulobi", "Bo’rikalla".

In addition, exhibitions of various fruits and vegetables, confectionery, bee products, crafts, animal husbandry and fishing are organized here.
