Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullayev has been appointed President of the football club Bunyodkor.

This decision was made at a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the football club "Bunyodkor". It discussed issues of further strengthening the material and technical base of the club, ensuring its successful participation in competitions and a number of other organizational issues.

Mehriddin Abdullaev was born in 1969 in Jondor district of Bukhara region. He is economist, lawyer. He held various senior positions in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the khokimiyat of Bukhara region, the National Bank of Uzbekistan and the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
