Within the agreement, the sides will ensure connection of international telephony communication networks for direct transit of traffic of their subscribers.

The Russian company said Uzbekistan is one of the most demanded international communication directions of MegaFon subscribers. The agreement with Uzbektelecom will allow to cut cost of communication services of MegaFon and to offer attractive tariffs for clients.

Sergey Soldatenkov, director-general of MegaFon JSC, said MegaFon pays special attention to the CIS states, developing international communication service. He said the company wants to offer both quality and affordable services.

Soldatenkov said the agreement with the Uzbekistan’s national telecom operator on direct traffic successfully solves these tasks.
