Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4-7 March, a delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in special seminars and trainings organized by the World Bank Treasury in Washington, USA, and also held meetings with representatives of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
During the seminar, World Bank experts shared their experience in the areas of effective management of international reserves, in particular, a securities portfolio, the practice of compliance control over trading, risk management and investments in securities.
During the visit, issues of expanding mutual cooperation with the management of the Reserve Management and Advisory Program (RAMP) of the World Bank were discussed.
At the same time, meetings were held with the leadership of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and other structural divisions. During these meetings, agreements were signed on opening a custodial account of the Central Bank and lending against securities.
