Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 April 2019, two meetings were held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade dedicated to the implementation of agreements reached between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.

The first event was an interdepartmental meeting dedicated to the activities of the working group on the implementation of the agreements reached between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates during the visit at the highest level in March 2019.

The necessity of prompt elimination of deficiencies in this direction was noted, bearing in mind both the elaboration of external factors complicating investment activity and the provision of active intra- and interdepartmental cooperation, which would allow to achieve synergies in solving the tasks set by the Head of State.

It was especially noted that one of the main factors of successful cooperation is close and regular communication and practical interaction with Emirates investors and prompt resolution of emerging issues. Representatives of ministries and departments provided up-to-date information on the status of project implementation and put forward proposals for the implementation of the planned initiatives.

On the same day, a meeting was held with the participation of ministries, departments and interested state-owned companies, which discussed the implementation of the action plan drawn up during the recent visit of the UAE delegation led by the Minister for Cabinet Affairs and the future of Mohammed bin Abdallah Al-Gurgawi to Uzbekistan .

It is expected that the first working groups will leave for the UAE next week. It is planned to exchange experience and borrow the best proven practices in the field of coordination and optimization of the work of the state apparatus.

As a result of the meeting, a centralized mechanism for coordinating the activities of the working groups was developed, with priority given to the timely execution of an action plan for each of the areas through operational and coordinated work with Emirates colleagues.
