Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 September 2024, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva met with US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Jonathan Henick.

During the meeting, it was noted that the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan have elevated the relationship between Uzbekistan and the United States to the level of strategic partnership.

Discussions focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation and establishing permanent ties between businesspeople from both countries, including women entrepreneurs.

Additionally, topics such as social protection, which has become a state policy in Uzbekistan, and further improvements to the investment climate were raised.

The process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization was also discussed.
