Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 20 September, a meeting took place between the leadership of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Bülent Tatar, the director of Onur Group for projects in Moldova and Romania.

During the meeting, information was presented about the company’s activities in construction and engineering, particularly in areas such as bridge, tunnel, dam, airport, tramway, and railway construction, as well as projects related to urban infrastructure.

Onur Group implements construction projects in 13 countries, including Turkey, Ukraine, Croatia, Tunisia, Moldova, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Equatorial Guinea, and Turkmenistan.

The development of cooperation in the field of public-private partnerships (PPP) between the two countries was also noted with satisfaction, including the agreements reached on joint projects for road and tunnel construction. Potential areas of cooperation in this field were discussed in detail, and existing projects in the specified areas were reviewed.

Furthermore, the company emphasized its services for projects funded by major investment institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank.

In particular, negotiations were held regarding the reconstruction of a segment of the 4R12 highway from 6 to 77 km, which includes converting it into a toll road with asphalt concrete surfacing.

On 18 September, experts from Onur Group, along with employees from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Road Committee, visited the construction site for an on-site assessment.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to prepare the necessary documents for project implementation and to determine the next steps for its execution.
