Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 25 October 2024, the Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, received a delegation from the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

During the dialogue, attention was paid to cooperation and the future plans of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan with the parliaments of the CIS countries.

The parties noted that close neighborly relations between the countries are strengthening, and relations in all areas have reached a new level, which is very important for the welfare of the peoples.

The increasing role of parliaments in these processes and Uzbekistan's proactive position in the activities of the Assembly were particularly emphasized.

During the meeting, an agreement was reached to further expand Uzbekistan's cooperation with the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and its member states, as well as to implement new projects.
