Meeting held with experts from the International Advisory Council on economic cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 February 2025, experts from the International Advisory Council—Alfred Gusenbauer, Aleksander Kwaśniewski, and Štefan Füle—met with Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov.
The meeting was also attended by Behzod Musayev, Director of the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as Deputy Ministers of Economy and Finance Ahadbek Khaydarov, Otabek Fozilkarimov, Umid Abidkhodjaev, Ilkhomjon Umrzakov, and other officials.
At the start of the discussions, the guests praised Uzbekistan’s ongoing socio-economic reforms, the progress achieved, and future development plans.
The parties deliberated on the continuation of tax administration reforms, improvements to the pension system, the enhancement of human capital, and the effective utilization of demographic potential. Additionally, they examined the experience of European countries in regional sustainable development.
Special attention was given to the development of the green economy, accelerating environmental transformation, implementing modern energy-efficient technologies in heating systems, and addressing the economic aspects of labor migration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants agreed to further deepen bilateral cooperation.
