Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The leadership of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to Uzbekistan, Timothy Smart.

During the meeting, representatives of the Central Bank presented the results of recent banking sector reforms and outlined key initiatives aimed at further developing the financial system, improving access to banking services for the population, and supporting small and medium-sized businesses.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation with British financial institutions in areas such as consumer protection in banking services, financial literacy enhancement, microfinance development, and entrepreneurship support.

Special attention was given to opportunities for joint training programs and strengthening research capabilities in the financial sector.
